Umeå University Library has a great number of eBooks, covering most subjects. The eBooks are often searchable in fulltext, and in for example the books from netLibrary and Ebrary there is also the possibility to add notes. Copying and printing is often limited.
The eBooks are also available off-campus.

ebrary
Provides access to approximately 35,000 specialized books in e-format from 140 academic and commercial publishers. In order to read the books you need ebrary Reader. The program can be downloaded for free on the start page for ebrary. You can search, read, copy and make printouts without obtaining an account. If you want to make notes, bookmarks, etc., however, you must have an account. Accounts are free.
netLibrary
Close to 1700 books, mostly social science books. You can read books for a short time without logging in. If you want to "check out" a book, you need to obtain an account (no cost).
