Umeå University Library (UmUB) comprises the University Library (UB), including the Research Archives, the Medical Library (MB) at the Norrland University Hospital (NUS), Umeå University Library Arts Campus (UB Arts Campus) and Umeå University Library Campus Örnsköldsvik (UB Örnsköldsvik). We also collaborate with the libraries at Campus Skellefteå and Luleå University.

The University Library (UB) is located in the Social Sciences building on Campus and its services are mainly intended for students and researchers at the university, but are also available for the public. At UB there is literature within all subject areas, except medicine.

The Research Archives is a part of the University Library and is located on the second floor. In their collections you will find archival material, maps, as well as a specific reading room for older literature.

The Medical Library (MB) is located within the hospital area, in building 6 M. MB is mainly intended for students and staff at the Faculty of Medicine and Västerbotten läns landsting (VLL), but is also open to patients and the public.  At MB you will find books, journals and other resources, mainly within the subject fields medicine, odontology, nursing research, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Here you will also find many study spaces and computer desks as well as 10 bookable group study rooms.
