Students and Employees

Students and employees at Umeå University can access the Internet without any restrictions via the icon UmU Student and Employee on the Library computers. Log in with your CAS/AD and remember to always log off from the Start menu.

If you have problems logging in you can try to change your password via Service Desk, ITS (formerly UMDAC)  Service Desk

Occasional Visitors and Guests

Via the icon Library Guest on the Library computers, visitors who do not have a CAS-account can access the Library website, databases and electronic resources. On the other hand you cannot access websites outside of the University Library resources.

University Library (UB)

There are 2 computers with open Internet access in the entry hall. Maximum time for use is 15 minutes. There are no printing facilities from these computers.

Medical Library (MB)

There is one computer with open Internet access opposite the information desks at entry level.

Wireless network

There are two ways of logging in to the wireless network:

1. UmU WLAN (Netlogon)

Umeå University's wireless network is called UmU WLAN. Log in with your CAS identification. 

2. Eduroam

Download a personal eduroam certificate to your computer to get automatic access to the wireless network, and no need to log in every time. More information about the wireless network at CampusOff-campus access to the Library's databases e-books and e-journals
