The Student Textbook Collection at the University Library (UB)

All of the requested textbooks for basic level studies as well as some of the textbooks on C and D level are available in the Student Textbook Collection. The books are alphabetically shelved by author or title and not broken down by subject. You may also check out dictionaries to use at home from the Textbook Collection.

In the Textbook Collection there is always at least one copy available for check out and one reference copy for reading in the library.

The Textbook Collection at the Medical Library (MB)

The Medical Library has textbooks for courses at all levels both for loan and for reading in the library. The number of available copies may vary but the minimum is one copy for loan and one as reference.

Rules for Borrowing Materials from the Textbook Collection

The loan period for textbooks is 14 days. You may renew your loan as long as no one makes a hold request for the book.

Overdue return of textbook

Because of the high demand for textbooks, there are specific rules for borrowing materials from this collection. If a book is not returned or renewed after being recalled your borrowing privileges will be suspended until the book is returned and an additional 6 weeks after returning. This means that you will not be able to borrow new books or renew your loans. If the book is not returned or renewed, you will be required to pay for the item and you will receive an invoice for the book.
